Bandwidth With Backups

Hi,
I'm running Joomla which is a content management system.
To add new features to my site, I need to upgrade the version of Joomla.
My plan is to download a full backup of my website including files and MySQL, load it onto my laptop and run it on a web server from there. This way I can perform the upgrade here without any risk to the live site. If it was successfull, I am going to upload the updated site back onto the server.
The question I have is:
I have approx 700mb of files on the server. When i download these files, and upload them again when I have finished, does this count towards my monthly bandwidth allowance? If it does, I may need to wait until next month as I'm running low for this month!
Thanks
Jon

Jon,
Thanks for your enquiry. I can confirm that backing up and then re-uploading it will indeed count towards your monthly bandwidth allowance.
As it's a new month from midnight tonight why not just wait till then? - or alternatively, you can upgrade hosting packages or add additional bandwidth for £1 per GB per month.
Please let us know if there's anything else we can assist you with.

Hi Tim,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Oh yeah! I forgot that it's a new month tomorrow! Thanks for pointing that out!
Might do it tonight then, still got 8gb out of 40gb left!
Thanks a lot!
