Couldn't quite decide which section this fits in, hope this will do. Please move this if it is in the wrong section.  Wink

Before you start, you need a website with good content that would generate traffic to your site. The better the content of your site = the more visitors you get = the more money you get.

PPC Adverts
The simplest way to make a bit of cash from your website is by using PPC (pay per click) advertising. This means placing adverts on your website.
One of the most popular companies that offer adverts to display on your site is Google (www.google.com/adsense) . Once you sign up, you can select the kind of adverts that you want to display, then a code is generated that you simply insert into your site. Because Google is a search engine, it knows what’s on your site so it can display relevant adverts.
What ever service you use, be sure to read the terms of service. If you get caught clicking your own adverts, then your account may well be deleted.
Google pays out once you reach $100 in revenue and sends out cheques. There are other companies that will pay you straight through paypal.

Affiliate
You can also affiliate with companies. A good site to set this up on is www.tradedoubler.com . Here you can affiliate with a company (play.com for example). You then choose which product from the play website that you would want to advertise and place it on your site. If a visitor clicks on that advert and purchases the item you will get a percentage of the selling price.

Don’t expect to make millions from adverts. If you get good enough traffic, you may find that the adverts will pay off the hosting fees.

Good luck!
